2022 HSNA Annual Meeting Agenda

Monday, June 5, 2022 7:00 PM
City of Fitchburg Library 2nd floor


We anticipate the HSNA business to end by 8:30. Subsequently, homeowners will have the option for further discussion/questions afterwards.

1. Welcome & Introduction of Board of Directors for Highlands of Seminole Neighborhood Association (HSNA) with brief description of roles [10 minutes]

  • Linda Brewer- President

  • Miguel Dominguez - Vice-President

  • Julie Allen - Treasurer & accountant

  • Bruce Sweeny - Architectural Control Committee Chair

  • Inthava Hall - Secretary

2. Guest Speaker - Gabriella Gerhardt [20 minutes]

  • Gabriella is the City of Fitchburg Councilwoman for District 2. E-mail: Gabriella.Gerhardt@fitchburgwi.gov There are lots of new development and future-thinking initiatives in progress for our city. We welcome Alder Gerhardt’s view on current status, initiatives & planning.

3. Treasurers Report, Financials & Budget - Julie Allen [10 minutes]

4. Architectural Control Committee summary report - Bruce Sweeny (ACC Chair) Diane Streck & Tony Kollasch (ACC Members) [10 minutes]

5. Landscape, Berm, Mowing/Snow Removal/De-icing and Retention Pond- L. Brewer [10 minutes]

  • Board decisions on Landscaping expenditures are guided by the Landscape Committee who surveys our properties annually and makes recommendations accordingly, Landscape Committee members: Ginny Janssen (chair), Mary Powell, Tom Lindsay, Lance Encell. Board president serves as liaison to this committee.

  • Professional arborist (Tree Health Management) is accessed for tree maintenance & tree plantings for McKee berm. This is based on annual surveying & consultation with President.

  • HSNA fence maintenance requirements on McKee berm will be surveyed annually by ACC Chair & President, with repairs & invasive removals completed as required.

  • Contracts for lawn mowing and maintenance is completed by President, in collaboration with current vendor, Olson Toon. Lawn repair & tree removal also contracted as needed with this vendor.

  • Winter sidewalks/trails needs contracted with Olson Toon.

  • Evaluation of annual needs for Retention Ponds is completed by Diane Streck, with input to Board & Landscape Committee.
